We deem ourselves a malt-forward brewery. Malt is one of the key ingredients in beer. Malted barley is most commonly used for brewing, but wheat, rye, oats, millet, sorghum, rice and corn have all seen their brewing days. The combination of malts used in the brewing process play a large role in the beer’s character. You can thank a unique malt bill for the roasty, toasty goodness of Brickhouse Roasted Amber Ale and the sweet toffee notes in our Red Sunday Irish Red Ale. Sure, we brew hoppy beers too, but we tend to favor beers with a bit more color, strength and character.
